Childcare transport van overturns after colliding with school bus in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. — Apple Valley School District officials said there were no life-threatening injuries reported after a childcare transport van and school bus collided Wednesday morning.

The crash happened near Galaxie Avenue and 140th Street West around 9 a.m.

The northbound and southbound lanes of Galaxie Avenue, as well as the westbound lane on 140th, were temporarily closed as authorities worked to clear the accident, which resulted in the KinderCare transport van overturning in the intersection.

A statement from the school district said there were at least 11 children on board the KinderCare van, none of whom suffered severe injuries.
