WASHINGTON — Thousands of baby teething toys have been recalled because of a serious choking hazard, regulators said Thursday.
Skip Hop Inc. is recalling roughly 22,660 units of its Baby Sesame Street Elmo Silicone Teether in the United States, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Sept. 3. The white and black eyes on the teether were found to detach when frozen, creating a choking hazard that could pose a risk of serious injury or death. An additional 3,177 units sold in Canada were also recalled.
