An HCMC doctor is reflecting on treating some of the most critically injured patients after the Annunciation shooting on Aug. 27, 2025.
The most critically injured patients that day were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, one of the Twin Cities’ only level-one trauma centers. The hospital activated its mass-casualty trauma response and brought in additional physicians, trauma specialists and other staff.
