Lindsay Clancy trial jury deliberates for fifth day after telling judge they were deadlocked

If jurors ultimately can’t agree on a verdict, the judge could declare a mistrial. Prosecutors would then have to decide whether to put Clancy on trial again.

PLYMOUTH, Mass. — Jurors in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial resumed deliberations Wednesday, a day after telling the judge they couldn’t agree on whether she was criminally responsible for killing her three children.

After court resumed Wednesday morning, Judge William Sullivan called the lawyers to the bench. Each of the 12 jurors and six alternates were brought in one at a time, sworn in and questioned briefly before being sent out to deliberate.
