Meta to pay Minnesota at least $214M as part of $17B settlement over teen social media addiction

ST PAUL, Minn. — Meta has agreed to pay Minnesota at least $214 million and up to $307 million as part of a $17.1 billion settlement, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced Wednesday.

According to Ellison, it's the largest Big Tech settlement in history and one of the largest state consumer-protection settlements in history.
