Minnesota Secretary of State race: Incumbent vs. former state lawmaker and judge

Minnesotans will decide between Steve Simon (DFL) and Republican-endorsed candidate Tad Jude in choosing the state’s next chief elections officer.

Simon is seeking his fourth term as Secretary of State while Jude is trying to become the first Republican to serve as Minnesota’s Secretary of State since 2007.

The latest polling gives Simon the edge.
