ST PAUL, Minn. — A Shorewood man pleaded guilty to embezzling millions of dollars from his employer over six years.

Paul Kroes, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud after prosecutors said he stole products from his employer, sold them to third-party buyers and kept the proceeds. According to court documents, Kroes would pull products himself or have another employee take them and disguise the missing items from the company's inventory.

The scheme spanned from about November 2019 to March 2025, resulting in approximately $4 million being embezzled from the company, according to federal prosecutors.
