The Nancy Grace Roman telescope, named after NASA's first Chief of Astronomy, will study dark energy and exoplanets and further explore the Milky Way.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — There are so many mysteries of the universe, and in space, NASA scientists are trying to unlock some of these.

NASA’s next big flagship telescope, expanding on the capabilities of James Webb and Hubble, is set to launch soon.

Weather permitting, the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope could launch as early as Aug. 30 from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

One of the biggest improvements is a camera approximately 100 times larger, meaning Roman can capture huge swaths of space, versus individual objects or systems.
