Parents of the youngest child injured in Annunciation shooting detail his recovery

Brittany and Joe Haeg said David's recovery journey is far from over, but the now 7-year-old has made a lot of progress.

MINNEAPOLIS — For families who’ve lived through tragedy, the one-year mark isn’t the end, and it’s not closure.

The deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic School and Church injured more than a dozen kids and killed Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel.

The youngest child who was shot and survived was David Haeg, who was six years old at the time.

“Hard to believe it’s been a year, and also it feels like it’s been 10,” said David’s mother, Brittany.
