The Banning State Park campground is expected to reopen for the 2028 camping season.
SANDSTONE, Minn. — A popular Minnesota campground will temporarily close following Labor Day for a major construction project.
The campground at Banning State Park will shut down beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, and is expected to remain closed through the entire 2027 camping season while work on a new shower building is completed.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) anticipates the campground will reopen for visitors in 2028.
