The forecast for the Minnesota State Fair is shaping up to have a range of weather on the way. Today and Friday are starting off with excellent weather! We expect to see highs in the low to mid 80s with a nice breeze. Friday though will feel a tad more humid. Winds will shift overnight to out of the south bringing in somewhat warmer air.
Friday night, storms across South Dakota will begin to push into SW Minnesota. These storms will persist into the daybreak hours, which may be when we see the rain arrive in the Twin Cities. The rain will linger for a few hours, which may impact Saturday morning activities at the State Fair. Recent trends have been coming in line with one another that focuses the rain across most of the southern half of the state, up to the I-94 corridor. Timing has been consistent, and it looks to clear things out by midday. Afternoon on Saturday should begin to clear out, though it will remain humid.
